Introduction to the Gradebook

Setting up your course gradebook involves significant thought, planning, and consideration. There are three keys to unlocking success when working with the Gradebook. Keeping each of these three items in mind as you progress through the configuration of your gradebook will lead to a more successful gradebook, for you and your students.

• Organisation: Think about how you want to organise or categorise the graded items in your course to make it easier to manage long-term
  
  
• Aggregation: What aggregation strategies do you want to employ to calculate category and course totals?
  
  
• Appearance: How do you want the Gradebook to look to yourself and the students?
