Gradebook Navigation
Once you access the Gradebook by navigating to Settings > Course Administration > Grades, there are two main ways to move around: the drop-down menu or the tabs. You can click each tab to navigate to that gradebook area, or you can use the drop-down menu to choose a gradebook area. Each tab or drop-down menu choice has a very specific function, which we will look at more in-depth in the follow up course. This is a brief description of each Gradebook area:
- View: Look at the compilation of grades and outcomes in multiple reports.
- Categories and Items: Categorize your graded items and apply aggregation.
- Scales: Create scales for your course.
- Outcomes: Create outcomes for your course, choose to add site level outcomes to your course and make them available.
- Letters: Create a lettering system for your course.
- Import: Bring grades into Moodle that were once in Moodle.
- Export: Save grades outside of Moodle.
- Settings: Determine how the gradebook appears for all participants (teachers and students) in the course, including the Overview and User reports.
- My Preferences: Determine the functionalities the Gradebook should make use of, out of all the available options, in the Joule Gradebook and the Grader report.
