    This course contains useful information and guidance for getting started with moodle.

    The first thing to do is to watch the 'What is moodle' video (below). This was not created in-house, but provides a good explanation of the building blocks of moodle, some of which we are going to explore in more detail. Some information (very little and mainly at the end) about hosting is not relevant. 

    Your next step should be to consult the materials in the Getting Started section (below).

  • In this section we will cover the basics of some of the resources and activites in moodle. The "What is Moodle" video at the beginning of this course divided activities and resources in lego blocks (some of which we will explore further):

  • The Groups feature allows a teacher to assign teachers and students to one or more groups. This can be on the course or on the activity level.

  • This is a brief introduction to the gradebook. The page and lesson below are to give you a general understanding of the gradebook function. A more detailed course is being developed and you will receive details of this when it is ready.
